Anyone within the Kansas City Art Institute community who has a KCAI e-mail account is invited to create a blog. Visit the register page to start your blog. For further information about KCAI blogs, please contact Liz Murray in the communications department (emurray@kcai.edu) or Bronwyn McLain in campus technology (bmclain@kcai.edu). .

Blog policies and procedures
Please be advised that Kansas City Art Institute reserves the right to manage blogs. Commentary, opinion and reaction to posts are welcome. Spam, personal attacks and off-topic comments may be deleted without notice.
Bloggers
Bloggers using this site must be faculty, staff or full-time students at the Kansas City Art Institute. Only a KCAI e-mail address will work. Owners of personal blogs will be considered for inclusion in the “Links to KCAI blogs” on the main blog site if they provide timely, useful, accurate and professional information that adds to KCAI resources and services and reflects positively on the college.
Acceptable use Lively opinion and commentary are welcome in blog posts. However, it is expected that blog postings will be professional and reflect well upon the KCAI community.
Bloggers are strongly encouraged to check facts, cite sources, present balanced views, acknowledge and correct errors and check spelling and grammar before publishing a post. While quotes from related Web sites and blogs are encouraged, bloggers are expected to cite their sources properly.
Bloggers, please make clear that the views expressed in your blog are yours alone and do not represent the views of KCAI or groups within KCAI. Ask the blog administrator (Liz Murray) if you have any questions about what is appropriate to include in your blog. Be respectful to the college, students, employees and partners. Attacks upon individuals are not allowed.
KCAI reserves the right to delete any post, comment or blog that does not follow these guidelines.
Comments
Comments are open to all as long as the person identifies him/herself. However, comments may be moderated by an individual blog manager. Comments should be relevant to the specific post they are attached to. Blog managers and/or bloggers should establish procedures for managing and moderating comments. The following should be removed immediately by individual blog managers:
- Potentially libelous comments
- Obscene or racist comments
- Personal attacks, insults or threatening language
- Plagiarized material
- Private, personal information published without consent
- Comments totally unrelated to the topic of the forum
- Commercial promotions or spam
- Hyperlinks to material that is not directly related to the discussion
Blog managers and KCAI reserve the right to delete any posts or comments that do not follow these guidelines.
