The president of Red Circle Press in Idaho has contacted myself and our fearless leader Joe about possibly participating in a print exchange. Everyone would make an edition print set and send them enough prints for everyone, then you would receive one of everyone else’s submitted prints. If you are interested, you MUST contact me and let me know. I’ll only send further details out to people that contact me. Get it? Got it? Good. Don’t forget- Our meeting tomorrow night is still a go. Be thinking about what images you want to use for the “mini” prints we’re going to sell on Etsy and on the first friday of December at the incubator press. If you already have images you want to donate for the benefit of gaining a profit for PC, bring them as well so I can get them listed on our etsy store. Also, be thinking of a theme for our next zine try. That’s all I’ve got for now, see you tomorrow night. Later, Abby

I’m back with more news than ever! Not really, but there is some stuff I need to get out there. 1- We are talking about doing “little” prints for the upcoming first friday that we may be spending at Arts Inkubator in December. Little for this means cheap or small-ish. Nothing huge or expensive, possibly not even edition prints. Not this coming meeting, but the following Tuesday (the 18th I believe) we are going to spend working on prints. Have ideas, but you don’t need to have anything carved or anything yet. If you need or want more details email me and I’ll explain as best as I can. (We may try to sell these cheap prints via the internet also if there are leftovers from first friday. Proceeds would go to print club of course.
) 2- The first zine….. eh… didn’t work. HOWEVER! We are going to get back into the swing of things and we’re going to be talking about a second first try at this coming meeting. If you have an idea for a theme let someone know if you know you won’t be able to make it to the meeting. Uummmmm….. I think that’s all! Cheers,Abby

Saturday on the Vanderslice patio, Print Club will be printing shirts for parents coming to Parent’s day. There will be no charge! So even if you’re not in print club and want your parents to get something cool while they’re here to see your school, feel free to stop by. I’m uncertain of the time right now but if you’re interested feel free to email me and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. YOU cannot get a shirt, HOWEVER if you want something printed, bring something to be printed ON and you can still walk away with a sweet silk screed something for nothing! Shirts are going to be on a first come first served basis so get there earlyish if possible (ALSO- the table will only be up and running for a few hours…. most likely 10:00 am-ish to 12:00pm ish…). Questions? Email me: blondesrsnart@sbcglobal.net or you can find me on facebook and message me that way. See you kids this weekend! :)

The time has come, my little friends- October 25th is parents day and we there is a 98.7241367% chance that we will be screen printing shirts and such for everyone. That being said: On October 15th (during our regular Tuesday meeting) we will be pre-printing PC logos onto the shirts as well as burning screens of images we will be printing on the 25th. If you want a screen made but can’t make it to the meeting you can give the imagery to me (via a black and white ((ONLY B+W)) 8.5×11 ((or smaller)) print out) and I will burn them for you if I have time and the resources to do so. In other news: Matt Gualco is still looking for poster designs he can use to advertise the Halloween Dance coming up at the end of October. If you wish to submit a design, message me and I will send you the specs. In other-other news: The PC will NOT be participating in the first friday fundraiser we had been talking about due to lack of donations. However- we are still looking into throwing a party as a fundraiser in its place. I will keep everyone posted on said activity. Later Gators, Abby

My name is Abby and I will be your captain for this flight. Please keep your rollers, inks, and paper handy because we may experience some creative turbulance here in the next few weeks! Okay, enough of the corniness. Welcome to the KCAI Print Club Blog. This is the place where all questions can be answered related to the club. I will do my best to keep everyone updated on upcoming events (such as meetings, demos, guest speakers, fund raisers, ect.), post pictures from past events, and answer any questions anyone may have. Feel free to let me know what you think this blog should include or offer any other ideas that you may have! We have a great group of people already active in the club and we hope to attract new faces as word spreads about our particular brand of awesomeness. Get ready for a great year!
